News Around the World
News Around the World
More than four months after Russian troops invaded Ukraine, fighting continues to intensify and humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate. The United Nations estimates that at least 24 million people — more than half of Ukraine’s population — will need humanitarian assistance in the coming months. In addition to continuing to meet the immediate needs of arriving refugees, our partners in the region support those fleeing the violence in Ukraine and provide assistance in psychosocial care, pastoral care, housing, job searches, language study, school admission, legal services, cash assistance and other key integration support for individuals and families.

Mytch Dorvilier, YAGM country coordinator in Senegal.

Along with the next group of YAGM volunteers, four new YAGM country coordinators are entering service:
  • Jessica Geroux — Argentina/Uruguay.
  • Jordan and Adam Miller-Stubbendick — Jerusalem and the West Bank.
  • Mytch Dorvilier — Senegal.

YAGM’s partner program Time for God will continue to steward the United Kingdom volunteers.

We pray for Jessica, Jordan, Adam and Mytch as they help guide the incoming volunteers and deepen relationships with our siblings in Christ around the world.
