The Generosity Project

The Generosity Project is a new stewardship resource for ELCA congregations that uses innovative approaches to promote generosity across generations and in households. The goal of the program is not to increase giving by a certain percentage but to change the culture of how a congregation views and understands generosity and stewardship. The curriculum is available as a digital download for $39. Resources, including a welcome packet, a sample and an introductory workshop, are available. Learn more about The Generosity Project.

Tithe.ly expands online products for congregations

In March 2018 the ELCA introduced Tithe.ly as an ELCA preferred vendor for electronic giving. Featuring online, mobile and text giving options, Tithe.ly is now expanding its product line to offer website services and church management software to ELCA congregations at a low cost. Enable members of your congregation to give online, manage your membership data or freshen up your congregation’s website using Tithe.ly's suite of tools.

ELCA Youth Gathering theme revealed
The 2021 ELCA Youth Gathering will meet under the theme “boundless: God beyond measure.” The theme is based on Ephesians 3:19, “I want you to know all about Christ’s love, although it is too wonderful to be measured. Then your lives will be filled with all that God is.” Participants will explore how they can find themselves within the boundlessness of Christ’s love. The Gathering will be held June 29-July 3, 2021, in Minneapolis. Visit ELCA.org/Gathering to learn more.

“Ignite the Church” conference
Get inspired, encouraged, challenged and warmed up at the “Ignite the Church” conference Feb. 11-13, 2020, in Orlando, Fla. In addition to large-group sessions on the topic of congregational vitality, there will be elective sessions on a range of topics: reaching younger generations, expanding kingdom impact, church renewal and discipleship, renewing music, vitality through mission, engaging your neighborhood, evangelism, social justice and raising up leaders. There will also be a visit to Orlando’s Castle Church Brewing Community. A $99 discounted rate, which includes snacks and two meals, is available until Nov. 30. All proceeds benefit the ELCA Fund for Leaders. For more information go to ignitethechurch.net.

New website for ELCA colleges and universities

ELCA Campaign

Campaign-for-the-ELCA

We have so much to celebrate as we complete Always Being Made New: The Campaign for the ELCA, the first comprehensive campaign for this church. Through the generosity of members, synods and congregations across this church, ELCA ministries received $250 million — $195 million in cash and multiyear commitments, as well as $55 million in planned gifts — to continue, strengthen and expand their work here at home and with our global companions around the world. Thank you.

The final impact report will give you a glimpse of the campaign’s impact on these crucial ministries. Other resources are available to help you spread the word, including a video and bulletin insert. Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to mobilize the resources of this church to do God’s work in the world!
