As a ceasefire takes effect in Gaza, it’s time to take urgent steps toward recovery and healing. Only now will Gaza’s community be able to begin burying their loved ones, return to the remains of their homes and start the arduous process of restoration. We are called to accompany the people of Gaza and use our resources to support the tremendous efforts that will be needed. This is only the beginning of healing and recovery, and this period will prove critical to the lives of those who have survived 15 months of violence and displacement.
Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response equip us to respond to this and other disasters, whenever and wherever they strike. Gifts designated for “Middle East Crisis” will be restricted to and used in full (100%) for those affected by disasters in the region.
