Multiple wildfires recently raged across Northern and Southern California, destroying thousands of homes and wiping out the town of Paradise, located north of Sacramento. More than 80 deaths have been confirmed and thousands of people were displaced in one of the blazes, the Camp Fire, which became the state's deadliest and most destructive fire on record.

Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response designated for “U.S. wildfires" will be used in full (100 percent) to assist those directly impacted by wildfires until the response is complete.
