Last year the Lutheran World Federation called the burgeoning hunger crisis “shocking and disturbing.” Now acute food insecurity has reached an unprecedented high, affecting a record 349 million people — up from 135 million in 2019. This crisis has reached ELCA World Hunger partners here in the United States and around the world, so we come to you today asking for your support.
