Cultural Literacy
Within the American landscape, New Orleans is a very different place with a very peculiar history. If we have chosen to be in relationship with the people of New Orleans, for the sake of the gospel, it would behoove us to know something about their history and culture. This particular exercise in cultural literacy is an exercise that will help young people practice the form of mission called ‘accompaniment,” a mutual sharing of knowledge and resources on behalf of Christ for the sake of the world.
